The Marathon has been given a modern tread design in order to conquer every challenge from urban jungle to bike touring. Over 40 years ago Schwalbe set a new standard for puncture protection and durability and thanks to their continuous research and development, the Marathon remains the benchmark for these qualities today. Suitable for all bikes and E-Bikes. Reflective tape detail. In the recycling process at Schwalbe’s partner Pyrum Innovations, the tyres are mechanically processed (shredded) and then recycled in a thermochemical process known as pyrolysis. The carbon black acts as a filler and reinforcing agent in the rubber compound. It influences the dynamic properties of the tyre (abrasion, rolling resistance, wet grip) and is used for colouring.
