The Brompton G Line is probably the best of the bikes created by Brompton. The ride quality is second to none, more so, with the ARCC Intelligent Drive System integrated with this bike.
The ARCC converted G Line is the ultimate in precision engineering allowing a fusion of technology and classic design. This expertly converted Brompton bike is equipped with the latest ARCC Intelligent Drive System (IDS2), delivering seamless power through its 250-watt front wheel mounted motor. This conversion allows the rider to experience precise control, while retaining full fingertip control via the handlebar mounted Bluetooth Controller allowing the rider to seamlessly switch into the Auto or Manual mode, adjust power levels, monitor battery status, and where enabled control the bike lights. The IDS2 comes with a unique Launch Control mode that provides a 3 second burst of full power for when crossing busy junctions, getting away from traffic lights and starting on a hill. The integrated advanced torque and cadence sensors ensure precision and responsive power management throughout helping to keep the wheel in contact with the road in all conditions.
Safety is paramount, the front brake rota has been increased from the standard 140mm to 160mm providing better braking. The ARCC conversion includes lightweight but robust features such as stainless, titanium forks supports and motor drive dogs that provide failsafe anti-dropout features. The IDS2 adds c. 3.9 kg to the weight of the bike, which includes the lightweight Bosch batteries that have reduced bulk and fast charging capabilities.
The ARCC conversion allows us to retain the rear hub gearing to provide even better flexibility throughout the drive train. This means we can offer upgrades to the Alfine 11 speed hub and to the 14 Speed Rohloff gear hub offering the ultimate gearing flexibility for this bike.
Designed for convenience, this Electric G Line folds effortlessly with the battery fully attached, making it perfect for urban commutes or off-road adventures. It’s compatible with most of the Brompton bags and/or, to reuse existing bags to carry essentials with ease. Choose from 4Ah and 6Ah battery options to suit your journey and take advantage of the spare battery holder for extended rides. Also available are Bosch 9Ah batteries, these can be purchased from most specialist power tool suppliers and come with a 3-year Bosch warranty when registered directly with Bosch.
